  • Draft marker system: new markers save as drafts on the device with photos, categories, and dates; drafts survive restarts, appear in a drafts list, and can be resumed and edited before submitting.

  • Set a marker's location from a photo: pick a photo with GPS data and the map jumps straight to where it was taken. The photo is only read for its location and never leaves your device.

Changed​

  • Marker details photo gallery redesigned as full-width social-style cards (4:5 or 5:4 following the photos' orientation) with translucent caption bars.
  • Secondary categories are now labeled optional during marker creation, and the category picker flow was reworked.
  • The full-screen image viewer got redesigned controls in the app's colors: close at the bottom center, report at the top right.
  • The marker editor's photos tab is now its own screen with a native back button instead of an inline toggle.
  • The location picker explains itself better: "Drag the map to set location", with photo and manual entry as alternatives.
  • The description editor smoothly expands out of the form and opens with the cursor on the word you tapped; formatting controls (bold, italic, underline, undo) now ride above the keyboard and step aside when a hardware keyboard is attached.
  • The marker editor's bottom buttons have a clearer visual hierarchy, with Submit lighting up when the marker is ready.
  • Marker guides and support pages now open in your browser, so they're always up to date.
  • Footer labels and creation-form text no longer scale with the system accessibility text size, preventing wrapped and clipped labels.

Fixed​

  • Pasted text in the description editor now lands at the cursor instead of the end of the document.
  • Shared links now load the marker reliably on a cold app launch.
  • Poster image changes made while editing an existing marker now save to the server and update the marker peek immediately.
  • Photo notes edited on already-uploaded images now save to the server.
  • Selected images now render on the photo note page when editing an existing marker.
  • Marker photos no longer show stale or stuck images when switching markers.
  • The keyboard no longer covers the description editor, and empty descriptions focus the editor automatically.
  • Fixed a crash when submitting a marker while offline.
  • Subscription status is reported reliably, including for accounts with moderation roles, so the first-year subscriber badge awards correctly.
  • The marker peek card reliably appears when opening a marker from a list, a shared link, or the review queue (it previously depended on timing).
  • Dragging the marker peek away now always deselects the pin on the map.
